Home by the Sea
There are places where the sea is somewhere you visit. In Rhosneigr, it feels like part of home. Down the little village lanes, between whitewashed walls and cottages painted in soft pinks, blues and creams, there is nearly always a glimpse of water waiting at the end. Boats bob beyond the houses, gulls drift overhead and flowers spill from gardens towards the lane. Doors open with sandy shoes beside them, wetsuits are hung out to dry and the sound of the sea slips quietly into everyday life. Perhaps that is what makes Rhosneigr so special. The beach isn’t somewhere separate from the village. It winds its way through it.
