Evening Calm
The breeze that has filled sails and whipped across the beach all afternoon begins to fade. The water loses its little white edges, the sea settles and even the grasses in the dunes seem to stop moving. The sailing boats have been pulled onto the sand, their masts still reaching high into a sky that is slowly turning softer and warmer. People begin wandering home from the beach and everything feels quieter than it did only an hour before. It is one of my favourite times of day here. Not quite evening, not quite the end of the day. Just that beautiful lull when Rhosneigr seems to exhale.
