The Collection

Each piece is a fine art print of the original digital work, printed on cotton rag paper and framed to order on the island. Some are released as signed, numbered limited editions; others remain available as open prints.

How the work is made

Nothing here is painted. Each piece is built on screen from Elin's own source material: photographs taken on the walk, pencil lines from the sketchbook, small watercolour studies, scans of marks made on paper, and notes about what the light was doing. The building is the work.

Questions

Is this a painting?

No. Every piece is a digital work, built from Elin's own photographs, sketches, studies and scans. Nothing is generated for her and nothing is bought in.

So what am I buying?

A fine art print of the original digital file, printed on cotton rag paper and framed to order by a printer on the island. Pieces marked as limited editions are signed and numbered by hand, with a certificate; others remain available as open prints.

Are there original artworks for sale?

The original is a digital file, so the print is the object. Some pieces are released as strictly limited editions - once a number is gone, it's gone - while others stay available as open prints.

Will you take a commission?

Rarely, and only for places on Ynys Môn. Ask.
